Booker Prize, yet again

Just heard that Howard Jacobson won the Booker Prize this evening – an excellent choice, I’m really glad he won as I think he’s deserved it for some time, and although I’ve not read his new book, by all accounts it’s supposed to be very good. (I’m sure I – sort of – predicted that he’d win in an earlier post too. Wish I’d put some money on it!) Shame that the more unconventional Tom McCarthy didn’t win, although I’m sure his time will come, and it’s encouraging that he even made the shortlist.

More to follow, perhaps when I’ve actually got round to reading “The Finkler Question”.
